Will Smith Wants In On The “Old Town Road” Music Video

Lil Nas X has certainly been commanding everyone’s attention for the past few weeks,w, making waves with his “Old Town Road,” earning a spot on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart before a controversial removal. 

Most recently, Billy Ray Cyrus lent his country music pedigree, adding his vocals to the “Old Town Road” remix and now it looks like yet another notable name familiar with old town roads wants in on the wave. 

Most recently, Will Smith stepped onto social media, uploading an old clip of the music video from his “Wild Wild West” collaboration with Dru Hill and Kool Mo Dee, layering it over with Lil Nas X’s mega-hit.

“Y’all Call me when you’re ready to shoot the video,” Smith captioned under the Instagram post, being sure to tag Lil Nas and Billy Ray.

Lil Nas would soon reply under the post, voicing incredulity: “NO FUCKING WAY.”

Since sharing the new remix, the Internet has naturally exploded in regards to Lil Nas with the official audio trending at No. 1 on YouTube at the time of this writing.

“It was so obvious to me after hearing the song just one time,” Cyrus wrote of the collab on Twitter. “I was thinking, what’s not country about it? What’s the rudimentary element of a country and western song? Then I thought, it’s honest, humble, and has an infectious hook, and a banjo. What the hell more do ya need?”
