Slowthai Delivers The Title Track Off Of “Nothing Great About Britain”

Northampton’s slowthai is becoming the next big thing out of the U.K. His project, RUNT helped introduce to a wider market in North America. With his new album, Nothing Great About Britain — a phrase tattooed across his stomach — set to drop on May 17th, he drops off another new song off the project.

Slowthai’ title track off of Nothing Great About Britain arrived earlier today, along with a new music video. The rapper delivers politically-driven, socio-conscious bars over frenetic grime production.

The rapper recently spoke to the New York Times about his forthcoming project and the title of his project.

“I want to speak about the place that I’m from and what I see as great,” he said.“It’s pushing you in a direction to ask what actually makes this place a good place.”

Quotable Lyrics
So called gangster I’ll put cheese in your cellar
Ayia Napa popping bottles, what’s up fella?
You play the decoy I’ll take food from the cellar
Top lad oi oi oi oi, oi girl whats your ploy
That man’s your boy, I’ll slap man way too coy
