Rep. Maxine Waters Intervenes During LA Traffic Stop

Rep. Maxine Waters was riding around her neighborhood when she noticed a Black man was being detained, so she intervened to make sure things were going the way it should.

“They stopped a brother, so I stopped to see what they were doing,” she told the camera person.

Waters admitted that she wasn’t legally parked but the possible ticket was worth ensuring the safety of this black man. “They said I’m in the wrong place and that they’re going to give me a ticket, That’s OK as long as I watch them.”

A Twitter uploaded the heartwarming moment with the caption that read, “Congresswoman Maxine Waters (D-CA 43) making sure the brother pulled over is having his rights protected! Queen!”
