Nav’s “Bad Habits” Album Brings The Rapper Out Of Retirement

Between releases from Nav and Rich The Kid, materialistic floss rap soundtracked by atmospheric, hard-hitting instrumentals is having its day. A comeback album in a sense, as Nav’s short-lived retirement found the XO signee sidelined by his own choosing, Bad Habits finds the rapper once again standing comfortably in his element. Which is to say, the club, adorned in diamonds, surrounded by willing women, all while being side-eyed by heated and jealous schemers. 

Though label politickin’ prevented a feature from Nav’s Fortnite coach Lil Uzi Vert, Bad Habits still brought Meek Mill, The Weeknd, Young Thug, Gunna, and Lil Durk into the fold. For the most part, however, the Lear-meister is more than willing to carry the load by his lonesome, much to the delight of his loyal fanbase. With production from TroubleTrouble, Wondagurl, Pro Logic, ATL Jacob, and more, Bad Habits is grounded by a steady musical backdrop, that serves to compliment Nav’s own hazy reflections.
