Kawhi Leonard Promises He’s “Good” After Game Three Leg Injury

Down to 2-1 in their best of seven series against the Milwaukee Bucks, the Toronto Raptors had their backs against the wall. Needing a win at home, Kawhi Leonard put up yet another MVP caliber performance as he scored 36 points en route to a 118-112 double overtime victory. The win didn’t come without some adversity though. In the first quarter, it appeared as though Leonard suffered a leg injury which had him hobbling around for a bit. Despite this, the Raptors superstar pushed through and assured the media afterward that he’s fine and will, in fact, play in Game 4.

“I’m good,” Leonard said according to ESPN. “I’m just going to keep fighting. I’m going to be playing. Just got to not worry about it and get my treatment and move on to the next one.”

The Raptors will be back in action on Tuesday night for Game 4 where they will attempt to tie the series up at 2-2. Toronto will certainly need Kawhi to be at 100% considering just how important he’s been throughout the playoffs. Leonard played a total of 52 minutes and carried a Raptors team that was struggling to hold the lead late in the game.

With Giannis Antetokoumpo fouling out in the second overtime, the Raptors took full advantage. Needless to say, Game 4 won’t be so easy.
