Kanye West Opens Up his Mother on David Letterman's Netflix Special: 'This Would've Been the Funnest Time of her Life'

Kanye West took to Twitter Saturday to announce a possible new album, and tracklist. The Yeezy CEO is set to drop his 10th solo project, DONDA, on Friday, July 24. The new release comes less than a year from his 9th release, Jesus Is King.

The 21-time Grammy award winning artist recently dropped a video in dedication to his late mother this past Sunday. In the video, Donda West starts by reciting KRS-ONE lyrics, while Ye comes in with a verse towards the end of the track. In addition, he dropped the Travis Scott assisted, “Wash Us In the Blood” last month. The upcoming DONDA featured almost 20 tracks, including the popular unreleased song, “New Body.” The leaked track has gone viral on TikTok. It also features Nicki Minaj and Ty Dolla $ign.

As quick as the announcement came, it went shortly after. Ye deleted the tweet, leaving fans puzzled on whether or not to anticipate an album coming on July 24. History has told us not to hold our breath when it comes to Kanye West album announcements. Whenever the project is available, fans will receive it.

Aside from music, the Billionaire rapper/entrepreneur is moving forward with his candidacy for President of United States. Kanye recently encouraged the American public to sign a petition. It would validate his name being placed on the South Carolina primary ballot. So far he has only qualified as an official candidate in the state of Oklahoma.
