Joel Embiid Upset After Game 7: “I Don’t Give A Damn About The Process”

Last night, NBA history was made when Kawhi Leonard hit the first-ever Game 7 buzzer-beater in the history of the league. The final score was 92-90 and gave the Raptors a birth in the Eastern Conference Finals, all while the 76ers now have to go home since their season is over. It was an incredibly entertaining game that was back and forth the whole time. At times, the Raptors had the lead while at other times, the 76ers were able to take over. Despite the talent of the 76ers, they were unable to make clutch shots late in the game which ultimately led to their demise.

Sixer star Joel Embiid scored 21 points in the game but missed a few ill-advised three-point shots which helped lead to the loss. After the match, Embiid was asked by a reporter about “The Process” and how he feels after the fourth year of this era in 76ers basketball. Needless to say, Embiid wasn’t too impressed with the question.

“I don’t give a damn about the process,” Embiid said in a sad manner. The 76ers star was joined at the podium by Jimmy Butler who also seemed fairly upset by everything that had just happened.

The 76ers were eliminated in the second round of the playoffs last season, although they lost to the Boston Celtics in just five games.
