Its been a long fight but Donald Trump is finally out of office and Joe Biden and Kamala Harris have officially been sworn into office during a historic ceremony.

Trump did not attend as previously announced, but Mike Pence and former Second Lady, Karen Pence were there.

Presidents Barack Obama, George W. Bush and Bill Clinton, as well as former First Ladies Michelle Obama, Laura Bush and Hillary Clinton were also at the ceremony.

Former President Jimmy Carter and his wife, Rosalynn, notably didn’t attend the ceremony for the first time in 44 years, but the COVID-19 pandemic is still ongoing. They sent their well wishes from afar.

Following the deadly riots at Capitol Hill, anxiety and emotions were running high and there were talks to opt for a virtual Inauguration. But the show went on.

The star-studded event featured Lady Gaga singing the National Anthem and Jennifer Lopez serenading the crowd with a triumphant melody.

Our Forever President and First Lady came through looking photoshoot fresh. Their presence was subtle but impactful.

The pop star delivered a beautiful rendition of the National Anthem but in true Gaga fashion, her outfit stole the show.

She was rocking a custom look from Parisian label Schiaparelli. The Creative Director, Daniel Roseberry said, “this ensemble is a love letter to the country…and to a performer whose artistry I have so long admired.”

But the Internet knows no mercy and the jokes began rolling in.

Amanda Gorman Calls For Unity in Powerful Poem

The 22-year-old activist and poet walked in the shadows of Maya Angelou’s and took the stage at the Inauguration calling for unity. “Somehow we do it,” she said. “Somehow we weathered and witnessed a nation that isn’t broken, but simply unfinished.”

As she recited the poem titled “The Hill We Climb” she described herself as a “skinny Black girl, descended from slaves and raised by a single mother,” who can dream of being president one day, “only to find herself reciting for one.”

Jennifer Lopez Represents For Latinos

Jennifer Lopez effortlessly mashed up “This Land Is Your Land” and “America the Beautiful.” She even threw in “Let’s Get Loud” for a little razzle dazzle.

But the most savory moment of her performance was when she said “one nation, under G-d, indivisible with liberty and justice for all” in Spanish. That was sure to ruffle the feathers of Donald Trump and his supporters.

Kamala Harris’ Nephew In-Law Rocks Jordan Dior 1s

During Senator Amy Klobuchar’s speech, the Black community couldn’t help but notice the drip passing by behind her.

Kamala Harris’ nephew-in-law, Nikolas Ajagu, wore Jordan Dior 1s to the Inauguration and it became a trending topic on Twitter. Many supporters believe this is a clear indication that the administration is off to a fresh start.

Joe Biden Denounces ‘Uncivil War’

Biden is officially back in the White House and delivered his first speech as the 46th President of the United States. He called for the end of the “uncivil war” in a powerful, unifying message.

“We must end this uncivil war that pits red against blue. We can do this if we open our souls instead of hardening our hearts. If we show a little tolerance and humility, and if we’re willing to stand in the other person’s shoes,” he said echoing his Presidential campaign.
