Celtics GM Danny Ainge Suffers Heart Attack, Will Make Full Recovery

The Boston Celtics are currently in the midst of a second-round matchup against the Milwaukee Bucks. As of right now, the series is tied at one game apiece with Game 3 going down on Friday in Boston. While the team is gearing themselves up for a battle on the court, they received some unfortunate news on Tuesday as general manager Danny Ainge suffered a mild heart attack.

Luckily, it was announced today on the team’s Twitter account that Ainge was able to get medical care immediately and is expected to fully recover from the event. The heart attack happened while the team was in Milwaukee.

“Danny Ainge suffered a mild heart attack in Milwaukee on Tuesday night. He received immediate medical attention and is expected to make a full recovery. He will return to Boston shortly. Further updates will be provided as appropriate,” the team wrote on Twitter.

Before Game 2, the Celtics had a 1-0 lead on the Bucks, although that all changed on Tuesday night when the Bucks defeated the Celtics with ease by a score of 123-102.

Ainge played for the Celtics back in the 1980s and has been an executive with the team for two decades now.
