Casanova Makes Public Apology for Not Practicing Social Distancing During Global Pandemic

Casanova has been in headlines recently following his decision to not partake in social distancing after medical professionals have urged the US to do otherwise. On March 23rd, the “Set Trippin” rapper posted a public apology on Instagram, expressing his regret for not cooperating.

“To all the people who saw my videos over the weekend I want to apologize,” he wrote. “If you know me, you know what I’ve been thru and that I like to have fun and turn up with my friends. I didn’t take this Coronavirus situation seriously until I visited my local hospital Kings county saw for my own see what this virus is doing everybody.”

Prior to the public apology, the New York rapper posted a video of him and a large group of friends laughing and mocking the outbreak as they said: “we all test positive for corona. We don’t give a f*ck we still outside.” It wasn’t long before fans and other celebrities called the rapper out on his antics.

“I put my family, my friends, at risk and that isn’t something that is cool at all,” he continued. “My mother is 74 years old and I put her at risk when she tried to get me off the block. And My life would never be the same if I was to lose her to my stupidity, a video shoo.”

“Also I want to say to the @nypd police officers who responded from the 70 precincts,” he wrote. “I understand that yall were doing your jobs, trying to keep us all healthy and I apologize for putting your health and the health of y’all loved ones at risk as well.”

In a rumor report with The Breakfast Club, hosts Angela Yee, Charlegamgne the God, and DJ Envy discussed the rapper’s “irresponsible decision” to not abide by authorities’ order to practice social distancing. “Maybe it’s not the time to be outside right now,” said Dj Envy.

“Man, listen, I love Cas but Cas you gotta grow up. I love that brother but that’s just irresponsible and immature,” stated Charlemagne the God. “If they see you not taking it serious Cas, why should they take it serious? And why would you pretend to have something that’s actually killing people and making people sick? I expect better of Cas than that.”

It seems as though the rapper has heard what the popular trio had to say and included a message to them in his apology.

“I want to say to @cthagod and the folks at @power1051 y’all 100% correct in calling me out,” he concluded. “Thanks putting me in my place like mentors are supposed to and for not giving me donkey of the day Even tho I might’ve deserved it. Everybody ‘WE INSIDE’ and I’m gonna drive y’all crazy on Instagram cause I hate being inside.”

In addition to The Breakfast Club, another mentor to the Brooklyn rapper, entertainment attorney L. Londell McMillan, also reached out to remind him that he is a leader and that eyes are on him at all time. It takes a big man to step up and apologize for his mistakes and missteps.
