Cardi B Denies Purposely Making Songs for TikTok Appeal

It has now been four days since the release of Cardi B’s new single, “Up.” Like almost every other dance challenge, TikTokers have also begun the choreography for the #UpChallenge online.

Some fans have called out Cardi accusing her of purposely making songs that will appeal to TikTok users so they can make challenges and push her single. While Cardi has just cleared up some rumors regarding her stealing lyrics to the single on her live, it seems as though the “Bodak Yellow” rapper had more time to clear up the recent TikTok accusations against her as well.

“My videos been A1 from start !They got better the bigger of a artist I got soo the budget is going to double up,” Cardi penned. “At first I only had 15 hours to shoot a video now I get two days. Killed it wit money & did choreography ever since Please me & press & never stop since.”

“Don’t try to play me like I just started this sh*t cause of tiktok,” she said. “My last 4 videos I gave choreography & at award shows as well. Please Me, Press, WAP, & Up was my last videos EAT IT UP !”

“It wasn’t me who started the WAP challenge. I didn’t even knew how to the dance that why I never did the challenge in the first place. How ya mad that these female rappers songs becoming tiktok challenges because people genuinely wants to dance to it,” Cardi adds.

A fan tweeted the rapper making sure Cardi understood the root of the backlash. “There’s a difference between becoming a challenge and forcing a challenge on people, that’s what people mean.”

“I never forced a challenge. I never offer MONEY or prices for no challenge. I never even posted ‘hey guys do a challenge for my song.’ People do it cause they want to sooo miss me wit that sh*t. I pay ya to show me when I told some1 ‘Hey do a challenge for my song,’” Cardi responded.

While the challenges and tiktoks are still populating for “Up,” Cardi came back to thank the creative influencers who have decided to make a challenge because they support her, while also giving a few words of encouragement to fellow female rappers in the game. “Thankful for all my fans, artist, influencer, tiktoker, people that critic music videos and songs, and the GP for showing me some love. I’m extremely happy and satisfied. Ladies that’s in my field keep doing what you doing they going to hate always. Give them a reason too.”
