August Alsina Taps Rick Ross For New Song “Englanglements”

It feels like the August x Jada and Will situation was old news. We thought the word “entanglements” had already been played out by social media but we were wrong. August Alsina announced Saturday that he was dropping a new song “Entanglements” featuring Rick Ross.

“Entanglements, is when you tangled in them sheets” August says in the hook as he alludes to him and Jada’s previous relationship.

“If you look up the definition of ‘entanglement,’ it is a complex and difficult relationship. It was exactly that,” Alsina said in an interview with Vulture. “I think it’s just the language that probably stuck out to people. But I definitely have to agree with it being an entanglement. It definitely was something complicated, a complicated dynamic.”

Of course the interwebs had a field day with the new song.

We just gon’ have to skip over the entire month of August. Because the way Black Twitter is set up, and with August Alsina being dubbed the messiest side nigga in the world, I just know the jokes are coming.
