Tyler, The Creator Enlists A$AP Rocky & Santigold For “New Magic Wand”

Tyler, The Creator dropped off his latest work of art, Igor, this past week. The project once again showcases Tyler’s penchant for ambiguous lyrics, experimental mixing techniques, masterful production, and obscure sexual relationships. “New Magic Wand” mixes all of those things into a unique record about unrequited love. Tyler expresses his love for someone who still appears to be in love with their ex on this single. Tyler’s love interest is described as having an ex-girlfriend, which he feels resentment for. 

A$AP Rocky and Santigold help Tyler paint his lovestruck backdrop over the hectic instrumental. The beat is a mix of a harsh hitting bassy synth and dizzying percussions that create a sound that comes off as organized madness.
