The Wu-Tang Clan Delivers Documentary-Inspired “Of Mics And Men”

It’s the return of The Wu, as the Wu-Tang Clan has released their EP Of Mics and Men, a project that shares the same name as their four-part Showtime docuseries. The album dropped on the same day that the second episode is set to air and the group tweeted, “You’ve seen Episode 1/ Wu documentary by now (and if you haven’t, what were you doing last weekend), now listen to the music inspired by the series. On Friday, we’re coming with a new Wu-Tang EP from @36ChambersALC and Mass Appeal, so let your boss know you’ll be in late to work.”

This is the first Wu record that fans have received since The Saga Continues back in 2017, and it’s packed with the gritty, lyrical genius that has made Wu-Tang legendary. Although it’s seven-tracks long, it features three skits and doesn’t include all members of the hip hop collective as Method Man, Inspectah Deck, and U-God are missing. Hopefully, there’s a full project in the works as Hulu announced last Fall that they were working on a 10-episode series based on the group titled Wu-Tang: An American Saga.
