Submit Your Music For The “Heat Seekers” Contest: Week Eight Artist Spotlights
Our “Heat Seekers” contest is entering it’s eighth week, which means there’s only one month left for new artists to submit their music in hopes of winning the grand prize – a studio session with one of the game’s best producers at the HNHH studio.
Dedicated to highlighting talented TuneCore artists, each contributor will have a shot at landing a spot on our ever-growing playlist, in addition to being eligible for the exclusive studio session.
You could be the next featured artist, as the “Heat Seekers” contest will be running up until June 7th. All you have to do is sign up here and distribute your upcoming release through TuneCore, be it a single, EP, album, or mixtape. The entire grand prize studio experience will also be filmed and shared on our home page in June – so submit your music now!
As we kick off Week 8 of the contest, today we’ll be highlighting three TuneCore artists with New York roots, all of whom you’ve likely already heard of – Sheek Louch, Squidnice and Siya.

Sheek Louch
Sean Divine Jacobs, more commonly known as Sheek Louch, has been in the game for over two decades as a rapper and member of The LOX and founder of D-Block Records, along with Styles P and Jadakiss.
He has released six studio albums over the years, including his most recent project, “Silverback Gorilla 2,” which dropped in 2015.
Squidnice
Squidnice, hailing from Staten Island, New York, has dropped a number of popular singles (his number one hit “Trap By My Lonely” earned a Frank Ocean co-sign), and a mixtape, “The Craccen,” which have generated a lot of buzz and turned Squidnice into a hometown hero.
His unique droning-style of rap originally caught on in New York, but he has since become a hit in the music industry outside of the Big Apple.
Siya
Growing up in Brooklyn’s Bed-Stuy neighborhood, Siya began rapping at the age of seven years old and had entered the music industry by the time she was 12.
As one of the first openly gay female rappers, Siya went on to release her debut studio album in 2016 titled, “SIYAvsSIYA.” She followed that up with her EP 383- For Roosevelt in 2017, and most recently released, “Mad Energy” in August of 2018.
