Russ Joins Collie Buddz & B Young On “Bank”

Bermudian reggae star Colie Buddz is back with a new offering and has tapped on Russ and B Young for the assist as he ushers in the new vibes just in time for the summertime. The new cut precedes Buddz’s forthcoming Hybrid album, set to arrive on May 24th.

“Collie Buddz is a legend and has been one of my favorite artists for a long time,” Russ tells Billboard of the collaboration. “‘Bank’ was the first thing he played me the first night we met. I knew it was the one. His cadence and penmanship is unbelievable. B Young killed his verse too.”

To that, Collie adds: “[Bank] might be my favorite song off of the upcoming Hybrid album. I love the way the record turned out but particularly enjoyed the creation process of how everything came together. I produced the riddim and originally laid down the hook and two verses. Felt like something was missing so I reached out to B Young (one of my current favorite artists) via Instagram to add his touch. He responded immediately and blessed the track within a couple of days. His verse was so fire I decided to adjust my own verse and rearrange the song structure.
