“Ride Along” Actor Gary Owen Calls Out Delta Airlines For Racially Profiling His Wife

Gary Owen hopped on Instagram yesterday to call out Delta Airlines and one of its ticket agents for allegedly singling out his wife Kenya Duke and racially profiling her. As per Gary’s video shared to Instagram, Kenya was standing in line at her gate with their daughter when an agent approached her and asked if she was flying first class.

Kenya said “yes” and then pointed to the white man behind her, asking if the agent would ask him if he was flying first class. The agent responded saying no because he didn’t “want to.”

“Now, my wife’s a black lady; the [guy] behind her was a white dude and the ticket agent was a white dude. But he asked the black lady, ‘Are you in first?’ But not the white dude,” Gary said in the video, seen below.

“So Delta, I have almost three million miles with you. When you see this lady?” he added, turning the camera onto his wife. “That’s my wife. She flies first. Don’t ask.”

Delta has responded to matter with the following statement: “Delta apologizes to this customer for her experience and we are reviewing the situation with our Cincinnati team to ensure a better customer interaction moving forward. We take situations like these very seriously and do not tolerate discrimination of any kind. We are in contact with the customer to better understand what transpired.”
