Paul Pierce Declares That The Series Is “Over” For Bucks Following Game 1 Loss

Geeting settled into his career as an NBA analyst, Paul Pierc ha had no issue ruffling feathers.

After the Milwaukee Bucks disappointing loss to the Celtics in Game 1 of their playoff series, the former Celtics superstar declared that the series was already over for the Bucks.

“As a team, I don’t know where Milwaukee goes from here,” Pierce while speaking post-game as his co-hosts incredulousy questioned his logic. “I think it’s over.”

Co-host Chauncey Billups quicky poked a whole in Pierce’s theory by bringing up the fact that he was assured in the Bucks’ ability to win an NBA chamipnship title this year.

“I did say that,” Pierce responds. “it’s just seemed like Milwaukee was a way better team throughout the regular season […] If Giannis [Antetokounmpo] doesn’t have a monster game and somebdy else doesn’t step up, Boston is just going to out talent them.”

Previosuly, Pierce flexed his propensity for the proverbial hot take when he stated that he had a better career than Dwyane Wade. Naturally, the stats and accolades that Dwyane Wade racked up throughout his career far surpassed Pierce’s and the former Celtics champion set off a string of backlash in declaring otherwise.

With this only being Game 1, the Bucks, who toted the strongest record in the league’s regualr season this year will have plenty of opportunities to prove Paul Pierce wrong. Next up, they head to Boston’s TD Garden to keep the series going.
