New Orleans Musician Sued Drake, Big Freedia for ‘In My Feelings’ Beat

Samuel Nicholas III, better known as Sam Skully, is accusing Drake and Big Freedia of jacking his beat for their mega hit single, “In My Feelings.”

Skully also claims Drake used another one of his beats for the “Nice For What” single which was also widely successful. TMZ reports that Skully said the artists used a portion of his 2000 track called, “Roll Call,” but they never asked his permission or cut a check.

The documents state Skully released the beat on a CD in 2000 and didn’t know it was ripped off until just recently when the songs began climbing the charts.

Not only is Sam coming for Drake and Big Freedia’s neck, but he’s gunning for Asylum Records, Cash Money Records and Republic Records to pay for damages.
