Nas to Release New Children’s Book ‘I Know I Can’
Education starts at home and legendary Queensbridge MC Nas is planning to help our children start off on the right path.
On Thursday (June 13) the “If I Ruled The World’ rapper made the announcement via a post on Instagram, writing, “My first kids book is on the way,” mentioning that he and Mass Appeal have launched a kids brand called MAJR.
The description of MAJR reads: “Our mission is to inspire future generations through the creation of unique toys, apparel, and innovative learning tools. Major is here to reflect the diverse hues of both the modern family and popular culture, because education starts in the crib.”
Nas posted a photo of a potential book cover on his Instagram. The book is titled I Know I Can after his children empowering song, “I Can.” The book series is listed on MAJR’s official website as part of a series “empowering kids to be whatever they want to be when they grow up.”
While the book’s release date has not been announced, Nas will be busy performing all through the country as he kicks off his 22-date North American summer tour with Mary J. Blige on July 11.
