Manny Pacquiao Signs Deal With Floyd Mayweather Collaborator Rizin

Back in December, Floyd Mayweather fought Japanese kickbox Tenshin Nasukawa as part of an exhibition match with the Rizin Fighting Federation. The boxing exhibition was easily won by Mayweather who knocked out Nasukawa in just the first round. It was a pretty sorry excuse for a fight but Mayweather loved it as he made $9 million in a very short amount of time. Now, it appears as though his rival Manny Pacquiao will be involved with Rizin as well. According to Hypebeast, Pacquiao signed a contract with Rizin although there aren’t really any concrete details as to what the deal entails.

The news was announced by Rizin CEO Nobuyuki Sakakibara on Twitter. He explained that Pacquiao will be involved in some capacity with Rizin 15 which will take place in two weeks. No one knows for sure right now if Pacquiao will be stepping into the ring, or if he’ll just be there to help promote the event itself.

Either way, it will be interesting to see if Manny will want to get into the ring. His last fight against Adrien Broner was a blowout victory in his favor so we know he’s still very much in shape.

We’ll keep you updated on this story as it develops.
