Haviah Mighty’s “Blame” Prepares Us For Her Upcoming Album “13th Floor”

If you don’t know who Haviah Mighty is, we advise you to jump on the established rapper now. Having recently ventured on a path of solo work, the Toronto-based artist is proving time and time over just how talented she is with her words and powerful her bars really are.

The latest offering from Haviah is “Blame” that hears her drop off some sweet singing notes aside from her usual rapping cadence.

“This instrumental is cold and needed lyrics to match. I sat on this beat for a while, and caught the initial vibe on my first trip to LA,” Haviah explained of the song. “I think reality started to settle in as I sat in the house/studio of Bob Marley relative, Jimmy Marley, looking out the window only to see shrubbery and hills. Thinking about how weird it was that I was there at that time, in LA, in that space with my management, 2oolman, and other creatives.”

Haviah’s “fully realized body of work” 13th Floor arrives May 10th and this latest track has got us ready. Listen to the new-new and let us know what you think.

Quotable Lyrics

Certain bars need mashup
The remedy of any melody
Identify that I am a genuinarity
I’m repping Queen Street and Kennedy
