Dak Prescott Hopes To Be With The Dallas Cowboys “Forever”

Dak Prescott has been somewhat successful as the quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys over the last few years and he is about to enter the final season of his four-year rookie deal. At $2.02 million, Prescott will be underpaid considering his production compared to some of the other star quarterbacks in the league. Regardless, the Cowboys will be looking to resign their star QB for the next few seasons and he will certainly be in for a huge payday. While he doesn’t have the same resume as Russell Wilson, the Seahawks QB’s 4-year, $140 million contract is definitely an indicator that Prescott will get paid.

As he described, Prescott is excited about the prospect of being with the Cowboys for a long time.

“I mean, I want to be a Cowboy forever,” Prescott said per ESPN. “I think the people that are doing the deal feel the same way, so to me, it’s no rush. I know it will get done.”

Prescott also explained that he understands there is a lot of money coming his way and he’s just excited to be able to prove himself.

“It’s all generational money, life-changing money, so it’s just a blessing to be able to be in this position,” Prescott said. “But as far as the numbers are concerned, my focus is on the locker room, and that will all take care of itself.”

Prescott led the Cowboys to a 10-6 record last season which was good enough for first in the NFC East.
