Big Sean Teases New Album ‘Detroit 2’ On His Birthday

Ironically, Big Sean teases a present for fans on his birthday.

It has been almost 3 years since Sean Don release a full-length project. The Detroit rapper took to Instagram earlier today to announce that Detroit 2 is coming soon. The album speaks to the second installment of his city’s dedication.

The first installment dropped in 2012. At this time, top streaming platforms were non-existent or had not yet gained prominence. Mixtape streaming platforms were DatPiff, Spinrilla or Youtube. Detroit was received as one of Sean’s best bodies of work, despite its “mixtape” release at the time. The sequel should be even better than the original.

At the end of 2019, he released 3 promotional singles, “Single Again,” “Overtime,” and “Bezerk” featuring ASAP Ferg, while making a cameo on Jhene Aiko’s Chilumbo project as well.

According to Sean, the 3-year absence was needed for evolution and synergy. Now Don is back and better than ever. Peep the teaser below.
