“Avengers: Endgame” TV Spot Honors Dead Heroes From “Infinity Wars”

Avengers: Endgame is set to hit theatres in a little over a month. In recent weeks, they shifted into high gear for their promo run and it seems to be working. In late February, it was revealed that the Marvel film was expected to break box office records. Most recently, they shared a new TV spot for the film which honors the dead heroes from Infinity Wars.

Marvel Studios released the latest, and probably the last look of Infinity Wars before its release on April 26th. The latest TV spot for the film kicks off with Captain America narration about the Avengers and Guardians “we lost” after Thanos annihilated half of the living being in the universe at the end of Infinity Wars. Black Panther, Doctor Strange, The Wasp, The Winter Soldier, Star-Lord, Drax, and Gamora pop up on the screen while Captain America says, “We lost, all of us. We lost friends. We lost family. Today, we have a chance to get it all back. We will.”

The color comes back halfway through the TV spot, showing Black Widow, Hawkeye, Thor, and Iron Man before they squad up in their red and white suits and walk off together dramatically.

The trailer should be taken with a grain of salt though as it was recently revealed that the trailer may contain some misleading footage. Joe Russo revealed that some of the footage that ends up in trailers don’t necessarily make the final cut, sometimes, in order to “preserve the surprise of the narrative.”
