Apollo Brown & Che’ Noir Connect On “’94”

Apollo Brown and Che’ Noir could very well be on their way to having one of the best rap albums of the year. They’ve been steadily preparing for the release of their forthcoming project, As God Intended which is due out next month. They recently tapped Black Thought for the single, “Hustle Don’t Give” and now, Apollo Brown and CHe’ Noir return with another new single paying homage to arguably one of the best years in hip-hop.

On “’94,” the latest collaboration between Apollo Brown and Che’ Noir for As God Intended, Brown lays down a smooth boom-bap instrumental for Che’ Noir to reminisce over. Name-dropping ‘Pac and Big, Che’ Noir pays homage to the legends that paved the way for her come-up in hip-hop.

Quotable Lyrics
In ’94, that’s when Biggie dropped ‘Ready To Die’
First time I heard ‘Gimme The Loot,’ I kept pressing rewind
I grew up hearing Tupac ‘So Many Tears’
That’s when I fell in love with rap and said I’m supposed to be there
