50 Cent Set to Produce Animated Series on Black Superheroes

While we wait on finding out what happened to Ghost on Power and what For Life on ABC will bring, 50 Cent is already working on his next story. Variety details the G-Unit leader will create a new animated show called Trill League.

The premise behind the show is developed from the graphic novel by Anthony Piper, which will detail the work of a group of Black superheroes.

“I am excited to bring G-Unit Film & Television to an innovative platform like Quibi with my partners at Lionsgate and 3 Arts,” 50 said. “Anthony Piper and Jameel Saleem have created a world we haven’t seen before in Trill League, looking forward to sharing it soon.”

The show is set to blend Hip-Hop and anime cultures. The series will be co-created, written and executive produced by Piper and Jameel Saleem. The series is set to premiere on Quibi on April 6, 2020.
