Jennifer Lopez & A-Rod Receive Handwritten Note From Obama For Engagement

Last week, there appeared to be some trouble in paradise when Alex Rodriguez was accused of cheating on his now-fiancée Jennifer Lopez. The claims came from Jose Canseco, who said that A-Rod was sleeping around with his ex-wife Jessica. A big to-do was made over the situation but things have slowed down since then with Jennifer and Alex enjoying each other’s company before their eventual wedding. The high-profile couple was surprised when they checked their mail, noticing that a handwritten note was sent to them from the former President and First Lady of the United States, Barack and Michelle Obama, to congratulate them on getting engaged.

It’s not every day that you receive some personal mail from Barack Obama but when you’re as famous as Alex Rodriguez and Jennifer Lopez, it might just happen. The baseball icon posted a photo of the letter he received from Obama, writing that it “means the world to us.” The note reads:

“Jennifer & Alex- Michelle and I just wanted to congratulate you on your engagement. After 26 years together, we can say that whatever challenges life may bring, sharing them with someone you love makes it all better. All the best, Barack Obama.”

Barack and Michelle are friends with a few of the most powerful couples in Hollywood, including Jay-Z and Beyonce, so for them to be close to the Lopez-Rodriguez clan is unsurprising. Take a look at the letter below.
